Submit to the Film

As many of you know, we are extremely focused on making this a “Fan-Sourced” film, (yes we’ve invented that term) and that means as much participation and collaboration from you, the fans, as possible!

So we have decided, much like the way we got our movie’s title, to let the fans create and decide what the film’s logo will be!

So starting today, and running for the next 555 straight hours, we are holding the “We’ve Got It Simple 555 LOGO Contest” which will run until 5:55pm on May 30th!

This is open to all fans, and the only requirement is that you create some ORIGINAL ART WORK to be considered for the Logo of the film. This can involve the themes and objects from the song “Simple” of course, but certainly doesn’t have to. This can involve the many facets and types of “Phish Fans” there are, much like Jim Pollock did for his print, but again, it doesn’t have to. You could simply use the title of the film “We’ve Got It Simple” with some beautiful CK5-esque lighting. You could make it just black New Times Roman Font over Abe Vagoda’s forehead.. this is as OPEN a competition as we can make it. So go Fuego, keep it Rollin!

The only thing we ask, in fact, the only thing we demand, is that you avoid any and all copyright infringement. Phish gives us a lot, and has for many years now. However, they do not give us permission to use their logo, or likeness of the band. So unless this is your first day in the world of Phish… you know there is a TON of Phan Art that is as Phishy as you can get, but creatively and cleverly avoids breaking these simple rules. So don’t cop out and break this “Simple” rule, because your art will be disqualified.

But do, please do create something that speaks to all of us as fans. Create something that speaks to the band and their music and what they mean to you. Create something that speaks to the grand notion that we all do, in fact, Got It Simple.. Cause We’ve Got A Band! And most of all, good luck while channeling the creative energy of Kung!

Legal Crapola: All entries are property of Philly Philms once submitted via this site and the disclaimer, however they will NEVER EVER be used by us in any fashion without your permission.

We’re Cool. That’s just shady AF.

All entries to be submitted below in a “Simple” Jpeg format. If you are chosen as the winner, we will request the artwork to be uploaded to our servers in various formats, but for now, we just want to see them! When the contest ends at 5:55pm on Mar 30th, the team at Philly Philms will comb through them all and pick our favorite ones. Those will then go up on our “We’ve Got It Simple” facebook page to be voted on by the fans to determine a winner. The winner’s art will become our official logo of the film and they will have $555 to spend as they wish, hopefully on Italian spaghetti, so you better be ready.

And…. GO!

We want you to be happy, this is your film too! That’s why we want YOU to be part of the film. What we are looking for is photos of you in your Phishtory. From 1.0 through 3.0 we’re looking for photos of you in the lots, you on the road, you making Phish inspired art or even making Phish inspired food. Basically ANYTHING that you think shows off you and why you are a Phish fan is fair game. Just go through the form below and submit them to us.

We will go through them all and if there is a place we can use your photo in the film, we will! Just be sure to send as highest resolution as possible. We realize the pics from the late 80’s and early 90’s won’t be ideal… and that’s just fine!

If you happen to have some video you think should be part of the film, please contact us directly via the site!
